Most Minecraft Structures Wouldn’t Last Long In Reality

on

In Minecraft, you can build virtually anything. This is because the game doesn’t employ real-world physics. The ugly truth is that a lot of creations built within the virtual blocky world wouldn’t stand up for long against the forces of gravity and other elements. To prove that point, here is Michał Mroszczak, a 3D artist from Poland, to demonstrate what happens when you use an accurate physics engine on an average-looking Minecraft house.

Not pretty.

Of course, in real life the results would be even worse — the house would have fallen the moment those support beams were taken off. Thank goodness for video games, where we can reject our reality and substitute our own.
