Minecraft Realms Expands Worldwide

If you’ve been wanting to start your own Minecraft server through Minecraft Realms but didn’t live in one of the countries lucky enough to have it, fret no more about your geographic misfortune. Mojang’s hosting service is now available worldwide.

For 13 dollars a month Minecraft Realms allows you, or if you’re a younger player your parents, to set up a Minecraft server. Minecraft realms hosts the server and backs it up. Up to 10 players can play on a server at once, and up to 20 can be invited in total. The service is completely run by Mojang, so no technical knowledge is needed. If something goes wrong the server can be restored.

The service is only for the Mac and PC versions of Minecraft, but Mojang plans to release it for other formats in the future.
