Sony Sends Minecraft PS4 Back to 4J Studios For Bugfixes

on

If you eagerly checked PlayStation Network Tuesday and were disappointed when Minecraft PS4 didn’t pop up for purchase, this is going to bum you out even more. Sony has rejected certification for the PS4 version, which means it will have to be fixed, resubmitted and most likely delayed.

The developer of the consoles versions, 4J Studios broke the news on Twitter, and even included a sad-face emoticon.

“Sony found some issues we have to fix in their final test of #MinecraftPS4 🙁 We’re fixing, but we need to go through the process again,” the studio tweeted.

Of course, all it means is that it will take longer to get it approved, but it leaves one wondering if the PS4 version will be launched some time this August as previously announced.

The Vita and Xbox One versions are also supposed to be released this month, but no official dates have been set. 4J has not announced that those versions have been sent for testing, only that they are still fixing bugs.
