Microsoft Introduces The Minecraft XBox One Bundle

on

Minecraft is playable on plenty of devices, but Microsoft is the only console-making company to turn that into a selling point (most likely because they own the whole thing). A special XBox One S just went on sale today in North America that bundles everything Minecraft on XBox with an XBox One S.

It’s called the Minecraft Favorites Bundle and aside from the machine, you get the XBox One edition of Minecraft, the Festive Mash-up Pack, Halo Mash-up, Fantasy Texture Pack, Natural Texture Pack, City Texture Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack, Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack, Builder’s Pack, Cartoon Texture Pack, Candy Texture Pack, Plastic Texture Pack, Pattern Texture Pack, and the Greek Mythology Mash-up Pack. That’s over 230 skins alone. The box also includes a code for the Windows 10 Edition beta as well as 14 free days with XBox Live.

The most important thing here is that the price is as low as an XBox One S gets: $300. Most other bundles have a pack-in game that raises the price at least $50, but since Microsoft’s development costs for Minecraft aren’t that immense and it doesn’t have to pay a licensing fee to put its characters on the box, the Minecraft bundle is cheap.

The Minecraft Favorites Bundle is out now in the USA, will come to Europe on October 11, and is promised for other markets as well.
