End of an Era: Notch Has Left Mojang

on

He’s been the public face and spiritual leader of Minecraft long after he actually stopped working on it, but as of now Minecraft creator Notch is gone. He reported on Twitter that he left Mojang, the company that will soon be officially sold Microsoft for $2.5 billion.

“I left the Mojang office for the last time, and didn’t properly say bye because everything is strange,” Notch, also known by his given name Markus Persson .

“I don’t even know what a fitting bye is. So I just left like it’s a normal day, with normal things happening,” Notch said.

We wish Notch luck on his future projects, and hope for the best with a Microsoft controlled Mojang and Minecraft.
