Minecraft: PE Will Feature Better Boats

Minecraft: Pocket Edition has a lot of features missing from the PC version of the game. But here’s one step where it will be ahead, at least for a while. Better boat technology.

Mojang Developer Tommaso Checchi posted the screenshot above today with the caption “Now that’s better :)”

As you can see, it features Steve and a tame wolf riding together in a boat in PE like it ain’t no thing. You can also see what appear to be new touchscreen controls for the paddling system that will be exclusive to PE when boats arrive. That might be the paddle in Steve’s hand.

The new boats should be coming in PE update 0.11.0. We’ll let you know when it releases.
