The Amazon Fire TV looks like something your mom or grandma might buy to watch movies or check social media on, but you don’t care about that.
What you care about is games, and it looks like the Fire TV, which launches today, will have the ability to play Minecraft: Pocket Edition on your TV.
It’s far from essential, but for $99, (plus $40 for a Bluetooth controller) it gets you closer to your dream of being able to play Minecraft on every screen in your house. Such a beautiful dream.
The device will also play other Android games, although Amazon has gone out of it’s way to make it clear that it’s not a games console.
