Microsoft is running one doozy of a Minecraft Story Mode sale. If you still haven’t started Telltale’s blocky storyline, MS will give you the first chapter completely free.
Now through July 29, Microsoft is giving out Minecraft Story Mode Chapter 1 on PC for zero dollars, and throwing in a Minecraft map, four months of Microsoft Groove (whatever that is) and, just for the heck of it, a School of Rock movie rental.
They’re also giving away deep discounts for the rest of the series: Episodes 2 to 6 are now 50 percent off, the Season Pass (which covers Episodes 2-5) is just $10, and the Adventure Pass (which covers Episodes 6-8) has been reduced to $12.50.
Reportedly Microsoft is doing this to celebrate Windows 10’s first birthday on August 2. But the sale will expire before then, so get moving. Minecraft: Story Mode’s first chapter will be free through July 29.
